We're moving our schedule around a bit to accommodate being able to spend time with TWO amazing guests: Maricopa County Sheriff Paul Penzone on Tuesday 10/6 at 8am, and co-founder of both Save Our Schools Arizona and Civic Engagement Beyond Voting - Melinda Merkel Iyer from 8-9am on Friday, 10/9.
Join the discussion early on Tuesday, as Sheriff Penzone's time with us will be less than the full hour. Bring your questions about what it has been like to have to clean up the mess left behind by Sheriff Joe, what his re-election campaign has been like, and how we can help him serve as our Sheriff for another four years. We'll spend the latter portion of the hour looking ahead to October and the start of the general election.
Then on Friday, we'll spend an hour with Melinda Merkel Iyer. Melinda's role as a founder of both Civic Engagement Beyond Voting and Save Our Schools Arizona position her to be able to speak to a wealth of topics relevant to the immediate election and beyond. Bring your questions about Invest in Ed (Prop 208), public education funding, "Microschools", holding our legislators accountable, protecting election integrity, and how she manages to track all those bills each year in her weekly Civic Engagement Beyond Voting newsletter!
Join us every Tuesday morning - and Friday morning 10/9 too - from 8AM to 9AM for Cafe 25! There's no agenda, no presentations, nothing formal at all! We just host a different candidate or special guest every week, and we get to know them a little.
