A Precinct Captain, also known as a Precinct Committee Member, is the heart, soul, and strength of the Democratic party. Precinct Captains are the liaisons between their neighbors and the Arizona Democratic Party.
Precinct Captains support local candidates and initiatives, organize volunteers, plan fundraisers, and hold social events. They have a vote in makeup and policies of the County and State Parties.
Precinct Captains receive training from the County and State parties, and have access to important organizing tools. The minimum time commitment is two to six hours a month.
Being a PC is fun! We are a community of friends and colleagues who are turning Arizona blue!
What Is a Precinct?
The precinct is the smallest political unit in the country. Each precinct responds to a single polling place. A precinct is where elections are won or lost. A well-represented and well-organized precinct delivers wins for Democratic candidates and vital initiatives.
Precinct Captains are extremely important to the Party because they know the people, schools, and community centers. They understand their neighbors' wants and needs.
Precinct Captains win elections!
